As you may know, I live with type 1 diabetes (T1D), and I’m taking steps to fight this disease. I would really love it if you would donate to my team and join me in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on April 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Guasti-Rancho Cucamonga Park.
Let me tell you what life with T1D is like. Because of T1D, my pancreas doesn't produce insulin, which everybody needs to digest the food we eat. I have to test my blood sugar several times a day by pricking my finger and then giving myself insulin to stay healthy. Having T1D means my family and I have to pay careful attention to my diet, exercise, sleep, and a lot of other things to keep a balance between blood sugar lows and highs.
I encourage you to sign up, donate, and walk with me this year. Bring your friends, too. Better yet, bring ten friends! We want every person on our team to raise at least $100 so we can raise a lot of money for T1D research! I know that the Walk will be a lot of fun, and I also know that YOU can make a difference to the millions of people like me who have T1D. Please visit my team page by using the link below to make a donation.
